Get your KICK with Devil

Story Review: The story becomes incidental. The story starts up with a regular but irregular guy named Devilal Prasad who is a do-gooder, which wants to have a ‘kick’ out of everything he seems from whatever he, does. Because of which he is unable to get a job which could give him a stable life at the same point of time. Where after some drama and a little bit of action he finds his lady love, which then after certain memories made creates a situation where she insults him about his earnings, and from here the story of the Devil turns towards the beginning of a new motive. ‘Devil’ who is a masked Robin Hood who literally robs all the rich tycoons to help the children those are in need. Meanwhile the psychiatrist Shaina (Jacqueline) who was practicing the same in India comes to Warsaw Poland, still on a search mission of the person who left her for no good reason.

Here after some time she meets Himanshu (Randeep Hooda) her father’s good friend’s son and a clean cop who is in the trail of ‘Devil’. Thus the story and the chase of the cat and mouse with Shaina and Himanshu along with his tremendous performance as a cop are left behind without the realization that both Devi and Devil is one and the same person. Devil is just too close to get caught at the charity event by Himanshu, where on the other hand the last hunt that he makes in the movie is of the Wasseypur starrer Nawazuddin who plays the role of Shiv Gajra. After this event of the cop and thief’s story you will come to know about the exact reason of him becoming a Devil, which is for good.

Movie Review

Want to get your Kick in cinemas you might get it with Salman’s deadly and horrifying stunts, clap worthy dialogues with the street Indian groovy dance on the supersonic music altogether spell Box Office. ‘Devil’ is what the script holds but with the similar detailing of God as well. Giving the movie as an Eid release along with the danger of having both a superhero in the lead has been challenging. Sallu Bhai’s fans would be seeking those electrifying stunts and the groovy steps. Being a Salman khan’s movie, the demands are usually seem to get higher after each movie.

At the end the verdict goes in a way that the movie could be pleasing at some point of time but the movie sails the boat with the great style and charisma of the Salman’s chocolate boy image with a negative role too. If you’re expecting something else from this ‘superhero’ cinema you might not get the ‘Kick’ that you want.

Music Review

The entry of the Devil is with the item number in the company of the gorgeous Nargiz Fakhri. But Salman Khans die-hard fans might enjoy the movie with the songs like Jumme ki Raat sung by Mika and Palak Munchal and ‘Devil’ Yaar na Mile with the rapper Honey Singh, Jasmine on the roll. Hangover is now on the mouth of every other person which is sung by himself Mr. Salman Khan with Shreya Goshal.
