KHOOBSURAT- A Pretty Satisfying Watch…
Story Review: The beginning of the movie has a Disney logo from which you can make out what could be expected from Khoobsurat. It won’t be just like the remake of the Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s direction comedy starring Rekha, as it is a high-pitched clean chick flick from the Mouse House. Director Shashanka Ghosh roots its story in a Rajasthan palace, which turns out into a charming Prince Diaries just another fairytale movie but a cute one.
Movie Review: Staring up with the movie, where Sonam Kapoor as Milli who is a middle-class physiotherapist whose expensive wardrobe suggests that she is good at her fashion style and at what she does. She reaches up to the Rajasthani Royal Palace, where the blueblood Aamir Raza Hussain, who is the king of the palace and has lost his use of legs. The lady of the house Ratna Pathak,as Nirmala Devi , keeps onto the little patience for the blatant Mille who shows disregard for rules, but her son Prince Vikram ,Fawad Khan, is all that prince are all about style, discipline, looks and innocence. The story has the predictable surprising that occur similarly in such a way that its springs all over. The story goes by converting a patient, winning over a staff and a confused teenage girl who falls in love with prince who is engaged with another princess. This film primarily focuses on the love story between Milli and Vikram. There comes a point where they both having dissimilarities have to leave each other’s back and lead their lives as they were surviving. This is a great comedy movie with Manju Kirron Kher as the mother of Milli who keeps on calling her as Milli doesn’t hide any of her feelings with her mom. Fawad has played the perfect role of the prince with his charming looks which is humorless, straitlaced royal can be mentioned as the perfect foil to Sonams hyperactive rebel. There are laughs through the voiceovers in their heads. It is a onetime watch love story.
Music Review: This romantic comedy movie has the great beats starting up with the song Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai, which is sung Aastha with the rap by Badshah, both did a perfect job. Engine Ki Seeti is another bum song of Bollywood, the song has funny lyrics which is sung by the kick-ass Sunidhi Chahuhan along with Resmi Sateesh. Baal Khade is a folk style with lyrics that are in Rajasthani touch, is a very eccentric one again sung by Sunidhi by it doesn’t sounds like her. Preet is the most beautiful song, which is different on the way with the lyrics and the music, with the voice of Jasleen Kaur Royal,it’s a sad song, more like a heartbreak number. Maa ka Phone is innovative song with fantastic lyrics, talking about real mothers sung by Priya Panchal and Mauli Dave. Lastly Naina the song sung by Armaan Malik and Sona Mahopatra, another beautiful song. The album of this movie has something different to offer.
