The movie is a lampoon and it explores the fight back that a ordinary man goes throughout his day to day life. Story and Movie Review:

Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami is an appropriate tribute to the ordinary man who still has his own respect more than any other thing. Close to his retirement, and living in a chawl in Mumbai, Purushottam Narayan Joshi played by Anupam Kher serves the BMC industriously as a jamadar for thirty seven years of his life. Annoyed by his unbending honesty, his sons Shekhar played by Manu Rishi Chadha and Subhash played by Divyendu Sharma think the other way. They find their fathers lectures very boring and his low paying job very useless.
However on his death day of Anupam Kher he demands a Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami as an acknowledgement of his perfect character, a license of respect that he never received. On the other hand, they have shown a corrupt politician who is publicity seeker, opportunistic and mistress also mother they have their own agendas and stories. Is being honest an indeed nuisance in today’s world?
Affecting and interesting, Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami surely deserves a salute for its exceptional concept. Movie with a common message could get boring, but this movie is original implementation, the director competently conquers that. The supporting actors have also played proficient role. Aditi Sharma, Neha Dhupia and Uttara Baokar have made their own mark in the movie. ETKS is one of the most socially relevant films of this year..

Music Review:

Ram Sampath who is the music director of the movie has played youthful but pleasantly expected songs. Lyricist Sandeep Nath remains true to the subject of a father and son relationship in two out of five songs. Ghoor Ghoor Ke is like an item song of the movie and is sung nicely it is also somewhat funnily picturised. Tod De Kataar is a mocking command to break the line and is a super hit number of the movie. Singers like Divya Kumar and Labh Janjua are lively enough and Sampath sings the vocals. Hum Tumhe Kaise Bataye is a lovely ghazal where hero and heroine are treating in shared respect. Mohit Chauhan voice is the best; he pulls at the string of the heart. The title song Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami is sung by Sampath who gives a modern day 21 gun salute with his words and bracing music,.’Tod De Kataar is a superhit number which is sung by youngsters. Overall the songs of the movie are standard with a separate retro air which is loyal to modern music.
