A polished biopic, Mary Kom

Movie Review:

Priyanka is all set to show her experimental skills while from putting on the nail-polishes from wearing gloves over and above them to fight in the shoes of Mary Kom. It is basically a life based movie on the legendary boxer queen Mary Kom, her struggling life how she fought to became the proud of Indian boxing ring. Originally Mary Kom was given this name by her coach, while her real name is Mangte Chungneijang, the boxer champion who made us all proud from Manipur, India. It is one of the finest sports movies India has ever produced.

Story Review:

So the story begins with a girl Kangathei (Priyanka Chopra), a small village reside in Manipur, who keeps on picking fights with the boys. She is one of the angry girls who get to the coach who is popular in the vicinity, Narijit Singh (Sunil Thapa) who puts her anger into boxing from where the girl leads her way towards the journey to conquer the world. Against all odds, as there was no option of family supporting her into her journey, from where she meets Onler (Darshan Kumaar), who is good-hearted football-player, after when she wins the World Championships and then takes the decision of getting married. The challenges that are yet to be boxed out from her intra-personal conflicts, whether she will ever be able to return back to the ring as a daring sports woman forms the rest of the films atmosphere.

One of the scenes where Mary Kom, is bout with a German boxer is dam predictable. The scenes are so much stretched that you will get an idea beforehand about who will win. The Mary Kom makers have conveniently ignored the inner battle of a mother who wants to regain her boxing career. After changing the scenario of the sports movies with Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, the India audiences have witnessed the sports movie. The story Mary Kom is of the five time world amateur boxing champion and is one of those first female boxers, who won medals each of the leagues. The biopic produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali with Umang Kumar its director.

Music Review:

The music composer Sashi Suman, who is the new comer, has composed the 7 track soundtracks while the lyrics have been mesmerized by Prasant Ignole and Sandeep Singh. Singers who have given their singing talent a floor with the soundtracks which consists the voice over of the Arijiy Singh, Mohit Chauhan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Vishal Dadlani and Priyanka Chopra. Dadlani has made his mark with the song Ziddi Dil with a solid opener. Arijit with his Sukoon Mila has a haunting melody and is dam easy on ears. It is one of the beautifully composed tracks. Adhure with the heartfelt performance is being sung by Sunidhi. Mohit’s Teri Baari, is derivative that of Ziddhi Dil. Saudebaazi has the same lines like Sukoon Mila by Arijit. Salaam India has Dadlani and Salim with an energetic patriotic number. Lastly Charo has been blended its voice by Priyanka is such a nuanced track.
