As we all know that shaukeen is a remaking of a classic movie of 80s and is a tough thing for producers Ashwin Varde and Murad Khetani to make it a smooth and soft ride when it comes to the movie the shaukeens. Shaukeens comes with lots of expectations as it is compared and 2014 remake does that to fulfil it. After the movie Tere Bin Laden, Abhishek Sharma has done his best in making completely very funny entertainer. From retaining the stunt man aka KHILADI image of Akshay Kumar with fashion designer Aahana and the 3 old men, thus Abhishek Sharma has surely done a good job. The movie casts actors like Lisa Haydon, Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Piyush Mishra and Annu Kapoor.
Movie And Story Review:
The Shaukeens has been followed by 80s shaukeens keeping that movie in mind where three lonely men take the path of lust to add some fun to their monotonous life. Laali aka Lalchand played by Anupam Kher is a shoe-shop owner and has sacrificed all sexual relations in order to attain salvation. On the other hand, KD played by Annu Kapoor who has never married is in search of love. Lastly Piyush Mishra, a widower trying to find love once again amidst a huge family of two sons and his grandchild. The 3 plan to impress Aahana played by lisa and same time have fun in Mauritius. On other hand Lisa shares everything with the 3 men who also is a big fan of Akshay Kumar the three oldies then try to amaze Aahana by promising her to make her meeting with Akshay Kumar. Light-hearted, funny, amusing and a complete comedy ride, The Shaukeens helps to keep you entertain all all through. However the next half has a much more of funny moments that will keep the audience smiling face continuously. The film is just superb where one can just forget their sorrows and simply can have fun. What add to this unbelievable comedy caper is the performances of Piyush Mishra, Anupam Kher and Annu Kapoor. All the three are just crazy and frightening that will make you laugh and wince at the same time. Lisa Haydon just comes as a surprise package to the viewers. After her amazing performance in Queen, she has equally done a fantastic role in the movie. Blonde, weird, strange and a complete fan girl, Lisa Haydon plays her character extremely super and very well. She also looks appetizingly vulnerable and her marvellous sex appeal is largely tantalising. Overall the movie is a must watch and it is very different also which cannot be compared to the old shaukeens.
Music Review: Audience has loved the music of the movie. It is simply catchy. Music is the major highlight of THE SHAUKEENS. ‘Meherbaani’ by Arko is an amazing melody backed with lovely picturisation. Manali Trance and Alcoholic sung Yo Yo Honey Singh is chart busters is already a superhit among the youngsters. Lisa’s flaming dance in Manali Trance is breathtakingly enchanting.
